Troy Myers is MAS Software Solutions CRM Consultant Extraordinaire. Having worked with CRM styled software for over 23 years - we’d say he’s an expert in his field. Troy reflects, “I originally entered the industry while in college, working a 12 week summer job as a software tester for HealthCare Communication. Within one week of working they offered me a permanent position, and when I graduated college, I went full time.” After working with many different CRM software solutions in various industries over the years, Troy admits that he almost cried for joy when he found Sage CRM. From being exceptionally easy to work with to having a POWERFUL base feature set – it is by far his favorite.
From performing business analysis of client systems, determining needs, pain points, hopes and ambitions; to the transformation of these requirements into detailed proposals, action plans, and completed CRM Systems – he is your CRM man! “It is my sincere hope that our clients would describe me as someone who came in, sought to thoroughly understand what they do, and created an automated computer system that doesn’t make them want to pull their hair out and cuss,” he laughs. “When all is said and done, I want them to be excited, making more money than they did before, and consider me a friend and champion of their business…maybe I’ll put that as a new title on my next batch of business cards… Business Partner Champion!” If you speak with someone who has worked with Troy you’re likely to hear things like, ‘He is the most genuine man I ever met’, or ‘He really get’s it. We finally found someone who clearly understands what we do and what we need’. Troy admits, “I am honored when clients consider me more than just a vendor, but a friend as well.” But the proof is in the pudding – because his work speaks for itself. His most successful project saw a 650% ROI in the first year because the system he designed helped the client identify and reject over $1,000,000 worth of bogus warranty claims.
When he’s not working hard for clients, Troy is likely to be out having a great time. He admits, “I enjoy just about anything that gets me outdoors, or allows me to be a total spazz! I think mud puddles are specifically meant for stomping in, and I’ve been known to catch snakes while hiking just to show them off!” From hiking, exploring and playing outside to leading his kids on buffalo (and other animal) bone excursions in dry creek beds or listening to Italian opera – he is definitely enjoys life. “One of my favorite activities is being the ‘Game Time’ leader for preschoolers at my church’s weekly Bible school. My Wednesday night battle cry is, “Everybody run and scream!!! I absolutely love working with kids and would be thrilled to be a professional story teller for children in my ‘retirement years’.”
As you can imagine, anyone with the energy and zeal that Troy has will have some fun stories about outrageous experiences to share. You may want to ask him sometime about the time he walked off a cliff, or how he snuck up within 15’ of a bull elk, or why he danced in a cage at a night club, or what it was like to shoot through 300 yards of rapids in Colorado – outside the raft!
Troy has a B.A. in History, with minors in Philosophy and English. But his greatest personal achievement is his children. “Watching them succeed in life and show good character – even when no one is watching, gives me the greatest feeling in the world.”
